About Us

The Sabara Srikhetra Sanskrit Vidyapeeth has been established at Sri Jagannath Temple, Koraput, to provide students from class 6 to 12, as well as people of all ages, opportunities to study Sanskrit, yoga, karmakand, and pourohitya. With the blessings of Lord Jagannath and the approval of the temple’s managing committee, the institution has been set up within the Gyan Mandir premises of the temple. Recognition and affiliation were granted by the Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi, after an inspection of the campus on 18-09-2025.

The efforts were supported by Sri Sadashiv Campus at Puri, local MLAs, and Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, whose visit during Rath Yatra 2025 played a key role in shaping this initiative. The temple has provided land, infrastructure, and facilities for the Vidyapeeth’s initial phase, while support from governments, organizations, and individuals is being sought for its growth.

This institution aims not only to promote Sanskrit learning but also to foster research on tribal culture, rituals, and indigenous knowledge of Koraput, blending spiritual traditions with the region’s rich cultural heritage.
